Pastor's Bible Study

Join Us for Bible Study in Advent

This winter our weekly Bible Study has an Advent/Christmas theme as we consider the “Life and Ministry on the Messiah”. As we journey back to the time of Jesus, we will see his birth in the shadow of King Herod, look the ruins of the Qumran Community of his day among other stops. We will see how the events of Jesus’ day impacted his life, ministry and communication. This media based series was filmed on location at biblically significant sites in the Holy Land and is led by historian and teacher Ray Vander Laan. Our schedule looks like this:

Dec. 3- In the Shadow of Herod- A visit to the Herodian

Dec. 10 – The Time Had Fully Come- A visit to Qumran

Jan. 14- The Language of Culture- A visit to Sepphoris

Jan. 21- My Rock and My Fortress- A visit to Masada

Jan. 28-No Greater Love- A visit to Korazin

Feb. 4- The Rabbi- A visit to Gamla

Feb. 11- Living Water- A visit to En Gedi

Join Us for Worship on Wednesdays

A new Wednesday Night Prayer and Praise Service has begun .  Beginning at 5:45PM each Wednesday, the first 15 minutes are a corporate prayer time. Then, at 6PM, we transition into praise and worship along with a brief message from our Youth and Children's Ministry Director- Scott Burnette.  Service concludes at 6:30 PM.  This is a worship opportunity for parents who are picking up their children from the Illuminate ministry as well as those whose work schedules prevent them for being present for Sunday worship.  Worship will be a bit more informal and music a bit more contemporary than our worship times on Sundays.  Everyone is invited!

Fellowship Brunch-Sunday

Join us on Sunday, December 22 for a Fellowship Brunch in our Fellowship Hall.  This will be an opportunity for our 8:30AM and 10:45AM congregations to gather in one place!  Bring your favorite breakfast, lunch or brunch item to share. Please have your dish to the Fellowship Hall by 9:15AM and we will eat at 9:30AM.
